Mental Health CBT Therapist
We are currently looking for Mental Health counsellors locally, regionally and nationally.
CBT Therapist ‘’Cognitive behavioural therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions and behaviours, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems’’
CBT Therapists offer accessible screening, assessment and treatment for common mental health problems, giving service users a greater degree of choice and flexibility by providing CBT either face-to-face or online. You will have a proven track record of delivering high quality service outcomes against robust performance measures and have excellent interpersonal qualities; time management skills; an ability to work autonomously; and an enthusiasm for working in an ever-developing IAPT environment.
Qualifications
- Formally recognised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Post Graduate (Master’s Level) diploma
- CBT Accreditation with BABCP
- Experience in counselling or mental health services
- Able to work independently and as a positive member of a team
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable treating both routine and serious mental health illness
- Strong computer literacy skills

- 2 examples of proof of address (dated within the last three months)
- DBS Certificate
- Details of referees (a minimum of two referees, One of these must be able to provide a clinical reference)
- Latest CV
- Degree/ diploma certificate
- Proof of relevant immunisations
- Training certificates
- Level 2 Adult Safeguarding (Mandatory for working with vulnerable adults)
- Level 2 Child Safeguarding (Mandatory for working with children)
- Proof of relevant qualification
- Professional indemnity insurance
